Frames

We know a thing or two about frames. 50/50 was the pioneer of aftermarket frames for aggressive skating and released one of the first UFS frames on the market. Over the years as skating evolved, we’ve released new designs to meet the requirements of today’s skating.

Balance 2 Frames

Inspired by the classic Balance frame, the Balance 2 is a great choice for all styles of skating. They’re injection molded using the same glass nylon formula we’ve used for years to give you a great ride without breaking the bank.

Balance 2 is great for flat setups, with a wide 110mm split and oversized hblock design. They’ll support a maximum 60mm wheel riding flat, but we highly recommend our 58mm wheels for the least amount of wheel bite.

For antirocker skaters, Balance 2 has a chamfered groove to keep you locked fresh out of the box with no break in needed. Since the groove isn’t deep, they work great on ledges to give you a more stable grinding surface. We think the 60mm wheels are perfect for antirocker, but with the right soul plates you can skate up to 65mm wheels if you want.

The single sided Core axles are protected by Juice Bumps, a classic Balance frame design feature which has been refined for today’s skating needs. They’re raised enough to reduce resistance on topsides, but thin enough to allow for negatives.

Available in a variety of colors, the Balance 2 frame is ideal for street but works great with any setup.

Prime Frames

Prime frames are the most responsive antirocker frame on the market that also work great for flat. They’re the first frame designed around the Core 2 System, an extruded aluminum structure with a injection molded glass nylon wall combining smooth grinds and solid carves.

The Prime frame really shines while skating antirocker. The massive 120mm split and deep groove give you an amazing lock on rails and coping. Combined with the aluminum core, you get no loss of power skating transitions. Fitting a maximum 65mm wheel, and 72mm with the right soul plates, Prime frames antirocker are hard to beat.

They’re also a great frame for flat setups, supporting a maximum 60mm wheel. The oversized hblock provides extra frame surface to help prevent wheel bite, and the wide split keeps your wheels from hitting the ledge. If it’s speed you want, pairing Prime frames with 60mm wheels is an amazing park setup.

Possibly the best feature of the Prime frames is how flexible the Core 2 System is. The Prime walls are replaceable, so once you grind them down it’s very inexpensive to bring them back to life. We offer a lifetime warranty on the aluminum cores, so if you ever have any problems we’ll replace them for free. We’ve also open sourced the Core 2 design to empower designers to create their own frame walls. You can learn more about the Core Developer Kit here.

Prime frames are an amazing park frame, giving unparalleled performance when you need it most.
